Honey Lemon Syrup

To continue on the theme of lemon, we are going to drink lemon for this week – a honey lemon drink that is beneficial for the young and old in the family! It was quite a madness a few weeks ago as the entire family was down with flu. To help everyone cope with recovering, I made some honey lemon drink for that extra boost of vitamin C and to enjoy all the goodness of honey. I made a jug of concentrated honey lemon syrup and diluted it with warm water whenever we want to drink it.


To make your own honey lemon syrup, you will need:

  • 200g raw honey
  • 200ml hot water (less than 70degC)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  1. Make a honey concentrate by dissolving the honey with hot water.
  2. Add the lemon juice to the honey concentrate.

You can chill the syrup concentrate in the fridge and add warm water to the mixture whenever you need a boost of Vitamin C.
