Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers

We are reading Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers for Letter P. It is one of C’s first books. Even though we have read it many times, it was very interesting to see how C responded to the same book at 25mo.

We spot and count the penguins.

We talked about being sad. “penguin sad. cry?”

We talked about size. “penguin so small”

We sang row row row your boat.

We sang twinkle twinkle little star.

We talked about the rain.

We talked about the South Pole, a very cold place.

We talked about her friends.

Based on what C responded, I also see many potential activities/topics that can be developed from this book: penguins, feelings, South Pole (and the Antarctica), friendship and many more! It is definitely a book with a long mileage and I hope that we can revisit this book soon!
